Tomé Park - Humoristic Happening

Feb 6, 2018
Doors: 6 p.m.
Performance: 7 p.m.

Stand-up will finally be taken seriously during this comedic and performative happening. TD Cultural Tuesdays propose to you an immersion in the universe of TOMÉ PARK, an interdisciplinary cultural enterprise founded by the comedian and animator Thomas Leblanc (Chosen Family, OFF-JFL/Zoofest).

With familiar faces of Montreal’s independent comedy scene, as Nancy Webb, Tranna Wintour, Employees of the Year and Jordan Arseneault, Thomas Leblanc will guide you through an hour of conceptual humor and radical reflections.

Thomas Leblanc has worked in the past as chief editor of Nightlife Magazine, and as a cultural correspondent for Radio-Canada. He is currently manager of the Ghost Love group and co-hosts alongside Tranna Wintour the podcast Chosen Family, produced by the Phi Center. Leblanc, who describes himself as a “French Canadian ginger gay performer’, develops stand-up projects both in Montreal and in Brooklyn. He recently started to manage his own production company and media house TOMÉ PARK.

A writer and a comedian, Tranna Wintour is an inevitable and inspiring figure in the transgender and LGBTQ+ communities in Quebec and in the United States. Wintour often appears in the media and frequently performs stand-up and music. Her shows are developed around an inclusive and edifying mindset. She co-hosts the podcast Chosen Family with Thomas Leblanc, produced by the Phi Center.

The purpose of the TD Cultural Tuesdays is to bring contemporary visual art into dialogue with other artistic practices. From 6 to 9, these gatherings take the form of events allowing the convergence of different audiences in a friendly atmosphere.
