Collection Majudia

Established in 2004, the Collection Majudia has rapidly become one of the most important private contemporary art collections in Canada. The collection has works by approximately 500 national and international contemporary artists.

The Trahan have collected contemporary art since their first Christmas together over 30 years ago. Collection Majudia is composed primarily of works by living artists who they have met and whose practice they follow.

Works in the Collection span all mediums, and include painting, photography, sculpture, installation and video of all genres.

The Collection Majudia is a permanent fixture, with its own exhibition pavilion inside Arsenal Contemporary Montreal. Collection Majudia is shown to the public in the hope of inspiring more people to collect contemporary art and to include Canadian contemporary artists in their collections.

Arsenal Contemporary Montreal also offers exhibition space to other local collectors and collections. One such collection is Giverny Capital.
