In a casual and cozy atmosphere, meet Montreal-based artist Jean-François Bouchard and discover his solo exhibition In Guns We Trust, currently on view at Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal. In a conversation moderated by Frédéric Loury (director, Art Souterrain), the artist will talk about the origin of the genesis of his photographic project, his preliminary documentation, his human approaches and the challenges of his approach in a complex context. A Q&A will follow.

Jean-François Bouchard has worked in contemporary visual art since 2003, traveling the world seeking out people whose interests and lifestyles are out of the ordinary. His visual focus is generally on marginalized, misunderstood, and often ostracized groups in our Western society. His work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and festivals in Canada, the United States, and France. Bouchard lives and works in Montreal.
